Giovanni Ozzola

Giovanni Ozzola is a contemporary visual artist from Italy, born in Florence in 1982. His work spans installations, sculptures, engravings, photography, and video, with a particular focus on the relationship between light, space, and time. He explores themes such as infinity, the boundary between the visible and the invisible, and the interaction between humans and the environment, often using urban and natural landscapes as metaphors for deeper concepts. His artistic research focuses on defining personal insights, which transform into visual experiences and come together in a reflective journey. His works engage in a dialogue with each other to explore questions like origin, destiny, and individual responsibility, all within the context of society and landscape. Through the use of light and space, Ozzola invites critical reflection on the role of the individual in the contemporary world, questioning the relationship between humans, the environment, and political duty, while creating a balance between intimate experience and public dimension, with a lucid and concrete reflection. He currently lives in the Canary Islands.
